L-Glycine, an essential amino acid.
L-glycine is an organic chemical compound from the group of endogenous amino acids. Despite being the structurally smallest amino acid (having only one hydrogen atom in the side chain), it plays a highly significant role in our body's functioning. It is a protein amino acid that forms protein structures (such as collagen) and also acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glycine is involved in the production of DNA, phospholipids, and collagen, and significantly affects the release of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which contains high-energy bonds necessary for all life processes. OstroVit Glycine conveniently comes in powder form, making it easy to mix into, for example, workout drinks.
