Performance Protein is the latest whey protein blend from Trained by Jordan Peters (TbJP), consisting of both whey isolate and whey concentrate. As always, they have avoided cheaper and less effective protein sources by using only whey proteins.
TbJP has focused on quality, but not at the expense of taste! The Smooth version has a slightly thicker texture for those who prefer a fuller drink.
When whole food is not available and a quick alternative is needed (such as before or after training, when on the go, or during the workday), we recommend taking one serving of Performance Protein. For larger individuals, two servings may be needed to meet daily protein needs. TbJP's creator Jordan Peters believes this is most effective when protein intake is around 1g per kilogram of body weight.
For example, if you weigh 63 kilograms, a daily intake of 63 g of protein evenly distributed throughout the day supports optimal recovery, fat burning, and body shaping. This can be achieved with four meals of 30 g of protein and one meal of 20 g of protein. Consuming less than 20 g of protein in a meal has been shown to have less than optimal effects on muscle protein synthesis. Therefore, we always recommend consuming at least 20g of protein at each meal.
